In Miami, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Florida, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Hours have not been published for this listing yet. Most businesses of this type in Miami keep standard business hours, but call ahead to be sure, especially on weekends and holidays. You can reach Lara Farms Nursery at (305) 253-2750; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is larafarmsmiami.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 104 reviews, which is a strong result for a plant nursery in Miami and suggests consistent service.

I wish I could give 6 stars Julian! I'm from Dallas, TX and Julian Lara has sent me many different fruit trees and fresh fruit from Miami now. The items are always shipped out very quickly, and he always ships them with 2nd day air in my experience which is better than any other seller I've seen, and the boxes are always packed incredibly well. I have never had an issue, and he responds insanely quick if you have any questions at all about anything. Hell, he will even give you a call if it's not a quick discussion. Everything I have received has been bug free and issue free. I wouldn't hesitate to ever order anything from Lara Farms. Please keep doing what you do sir. You're a blessing.

I've purchased over ten times from Lara Farms online store. It's amazing how healthy and large his 1-gallon grafted trees are. Shipping, handling, and packing of trees is great. Customer service is great and quick-to-respond. Lara Farms is also responsible for some amazing cultivars of fruit trees. Hialeah Red Avocado, Lara Purple Avocado, Lara Carambola, Apmay Avocado, Improved Pollock Avocado and many other amazing fruit trees the Lara family has discovered and brought to market. Lara Farms is definitely a must see nursery and farm for any plant enthusiast in the Miami area, or the online store will be sure to meet your tropical fruit plant and fresh fruit needs!

I made an appointment for a farm tour with Julian about a week ago. I followed up with him the other day and he cautioned me, "Don't get your hopes up, there's not a lot of fruit right now". While waiting, my girlfriend, son and I checked out the inventory of larger mango trees - a few with flowers and set fruit already on them! Pretty cool for this time of year! Julian and one of his dogs Oso came to great us. They were both very warm, attentive, and friendly during our visit. Julian pointed out some of the seasonal nursery work going on and answered all of my questions. It was a very "natural" visit, like we were already friends just checking out plants. I highly recommend making an appointment and seeing what he's got going on. If there's fruit available in the season, you may be able to purchase by the pound - we were able to get some late season avocados, Ronnie Kampong and Oro Negro, as well as getting myself another ST Maui mango tree. I've purchased online in the past, so it was a really neat experience to see the whole operation in person. His dad would be proud.

If you’re looking for a hidden gem in Homestead, Miami, Lara Farms Nursery is an absolute must-visit! My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting the farm, and it was one of the most unique and enjoyable experiences we’ve had in South Florida. The owner, Julian, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. He personally gave us a tour of the farm and shared a wealth of knowledge about the exotic fruit trees he grows. Although we originally went for lychees, we found out the season had just ended. But that didn’t stop Julian from making our visit worthwhile. He introduced us to a wide variety of mangoes we had never tried before, including the Egyptian mango called Taymour, which was absolutely delicious and unlike any other mango we’ve tasted. The care he puts into growing each fruit is evident in the quality and flavor. One of the best parts is that Julian also sells his fruits online, so even if you’re not local, you can still enjoy them. We brought some mangoes back to New York City, and they traveled perfectlyβ€”fresh and full of flavor. We’re already planning to return next year during lychee and mango season. Highly recommend!

I purchase an avocado tree from Lara Farms online and this is what I received (photos below). I reached out to Lara farms , they said they will replace it, then ghosted me. I have attempted several times to reach them to inquire about my replacement and have been ignored. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM LARA FARMS ONLINE YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF!
